Managing Hay fever One of the main problems with hayfever is that the lymph system behind the sternoclydomastoid muscle (the muscle in the neck which runs from behind the ear to the collar bone) gets blocked over a long period of time, or in response to a hay fever trigger. Draining this is the key to successfully clearing the sinuses, and relieving the symtoms that come with hayfever. When a Bowen treatment is given, this part of the session often produces an immediate positive response to the sinus blockage, with relief from symptoms. A course of 3 weekly treatments should help this situation in most cases. It is advised to have treatment before the start of the hay fever season, before the symptoms kick in. Occasional top up treatments through-out the season can help keep on top of the condition as and when it is needed.
